The 22-year-old University of Toronto student said her mounting debt -- at $12,000 and counting -- is what may deter her from fulfilling her dreams.
Armborst was one of 40 students to take to the streets in Parkdale-High Park yesterday to give voters in the riding a lesson in the crippling cost of university education.
A recent Statistics Canada report showed Ontario undergraduate students will pay $5,160 in tuition this year -- a 4.6% increase from last year and a 200% rise since 1990-91.
"Tuition fees are already too high," said Jesse Greener, Ontario chairman of the Canadian Federation of Students, which organized yesterday's campaign.
